Through all our travels, we have always had our Australian Shepherds and our horses to join us in our adventures. Our Aussies have been mountain dogs with packstrings of mules, watchdogs, protectors (and sometimes heelers) of our children, taught themselves to point pheasants and quail, pulled in harness in many of our sleddog teams in Idaho and Alaska, and worked cattle both in Idaho and Arizona. They have been our constant companions, protectors, and best friends. Our horses have carried us through wind, snow, and heat from the Idaho mountains, to the tundra in Alaska, and now in the Mohave Desert of Arizona. Our animals have been there for our adventures, and have had a stabilizing influence in our wild and crazy life.

Our children are long-since grown and far away. Kenny is living in Lake Tahoe, California, and owns his own company; and Katy is living and teaching in Marion, Ohio, married with twin daughters, has a Masters and is working on her PhD.
